TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT!

Officers can be discharged from service at anytime the Department deems necessary within reasonable means. If the Officer is deemed at fault for serious misconduct of Safety Violations his/her appeal will be Denied.

Officers CANNOT be fired if Injured on the job unless said injury inhibits their ability to conduct Police work thoroughly. This includes any mental or physical illnesses sustained while on the job.

Officers have the Right to appeal all final outcomes regarding employment. The Department reserves the right to deny any appeal for any reason.

All Investigation's are open door meaning you will have the Right to review the evidence placed against you upon being released from duty. This does not mean Outcomes will change.

Do not directly contact any member of the L.S.M.P.D chain of command in an attempt to change any outcomes related to employment discharge for any reason. This may result in charges being brought against the persons. Bribery 4(01) Corruption of a Peace Officer 4(15)

Officers must give 1 weeks, 7 days notice before transferring between departments and must have a formal request for transfer fully written and provided to L.S.M.P.D Command Staff. Officers who quit without notice may be subject to a 30 Waiting period as we transfer paperwork between departments.
